I tried fiddling with the various cache options (RAM or disk, limit size or not…), but it has no effect. If I force emptying the cache by modifying the options in the preferences menu, then animation comes back to normal, until frames are cached again….Download your new image as a PNG file with a transparent background to save, share, or keep editing. ![]() Upload your image to automatically remove the background in an instant. Keyframe #1 is showed on keyframe #2, keyframe #2 is showed on keyframe #3 and so on… For best results, choose an image where the subject has clear edges with nothing overlapping it. There was no need to reduce it from the default 50 allocation but reducing to 20 3. At this point, the animation is not correct anymore : basically the frames are displayed with a shift of one keyframe. Ive tried removing the whole layer and the content of that particular frame is still there. You have more than enough RAM and I assume plenty of hard drive space for running krita and storing/writing images. Go ahead and drag this overlay to the top of your layers list. As always, your text will be added in a new layer. For this example, we’ll be adding text, so create a text box as you normally would. With access to this, let’s go ahead and add our overlay. Then when I start the animation by clicking on the “play” button, Krita caches the frames as can be seen in the timeline header (light-grey rectangles show up in the header). An overlay at the top of the list will show up over all frames, for example. Then when I manually play the animation by dragging my mouse on the timeline header, everything is fine and all keyframes are correctly displayed.I first disabled the option “Enable Background Cache Generation” i wanted to post my short gif animation but its too short.(I just combined all the frames onto one. After doing some trials, I have been able to understand that the playback lag is linked to the frame cache: It only seems to be doing it w/ GIF files but each one I rendered looked like it was in decent timing in krita but as a rendered. I encounter the same bug on Krita 4.3, macos Catalina 10.15.6 (Macbook Air). This is weird, even in the gimp I get the double bunny effect carved into the gif.
